This group of companies requiring an energy efficient compressor system supplies raw materials to most industries, including agriculture, automotive, chemicals, construction, energy and pharmaceuticals.
They have more than 1300 employees across 10 manufacturing sites in the UK, from Littlehampton on the south coast of England to Callanish off the North West coast of Scotland and Deeside in North Wales.
We have been working closely with their site in Deeside to reduce the running costs associated with the compressed air equipment on-site.
UAP carried out a compressed air energy audit to the site in accordance with ISO11011, to highlight any potential energy savings associated with the compressed air equipment.
The customer had two Gardner Denver ESD75 (75kW) Air Compressors on site, duty/standby MO. Following the ISO11011 energy audit, we found the Gardner Denver compressors were oversized for this application and the most energy-efficient solution was to replace the 75kw compressor with new HPC CSD105SFC variable speed 55kw air compressor.

Two 75k, compressors had been on-site for 13 years, although they were still reliable having been installed and maintained by UAP, an opportunity arose to reduce energy. Pleasantly the resulting energy savings were very near to what UAP said we would get… Great Job, we would recommend UAP and HPC to anyone!
