F-Gas Regulations

UAP meet all F-Gas regulations in order to work on a variety of manufacturers equipment to offer you the best possible costs for equipment, parts and service. We also provide preventive maintenance contracts to increase the efficiency and extend the operating life of your equipment. Our technicians are highly trained and experienced to install and service refrigeration systems.

To ensure that our customers receive the best possible service; we ensure that our technicians are sufficiently trained; we have developed and implemented the correct procedures for safe handling of gases, including equipment used; record all certificate numbers of our technician’s qualifications, and most importantly we hold an F-Gas certification which is mandatory under the F-Gas regulations. A leak-free refrigerant system is mandatory under F-Gas legislation; this aside, a leaking refrigerant system is inefficient and can significantly reduce the energy efficiency ratio (EER) of your equipment; just a 10% loss of gas increases energy consumption by up to 20%.

Mandatory and documented leak detection applies to refrigeration equipment according to how much damage could be caused to the atmosphere if the whole charge were released.  The frequency of the leak detection inspections is based on the Global Warming Potential (GWP) of the refrigerant multiplied by the estimated volume contained in each individual system.

UAP ensure your equipment is leak free by carrying out regular leak detection inspections and ensuring leaks are repaired immediately. Follow-up leak detection inspections are carried out one month after any repairs and we keep records to track refrigerant from design through to disposal.

A UAP service and maintenance contract will ensure you’re compliant and will provide you with regular planned maintenance to improve the performance and efficiency of your equipment.  Our technicians are trained to provide the knowledge and practical skills to undertake leak detection, refrigerant gas recovery, installation, servicing and maintenance of refrigeration systems.
